Saying Good-Bye to Summer

And we thought things would slow down once all things wedding related came to an end. Who were we kidding? Things have been non-stop since the at home reception. As much as Drew and I would like a weekend to just cuddle and watch movies the whole time, if just hasn't happened. Instead, I launched my own home business, we've been working on more Knotty Cakes Ranch projects, we've been going through all the wedding and at home reception photos and having a bit of a social life (outside of the wedding), again.

We've started preparing the yard at Knotty Cakes Ranch for the arrival of cooler temperatures. This requires cutting back many plants, like the banana and ti leaf plants, wrapping their stalks in burlap and putting mulch around the base to help protect them from frost. It's ironic how as we've been preparing the yard for winter our hibiscus plants have been blooming like we're in Hawaii.

Cupcake and Radish

Cupcake and Radish wanted to say hello and let you all know that they love their new home at Knotty Cakes Ranch. They also want you to know that they have been taking plenty of time to get plenty of beauty sleep and as a result continue to get cuter and cuter. They hope you will enjoy these new photos of them.

Cupcake and Muffin Update

Cupcake and Muffin are getting bigger and bigger every day.  They now enjoy going outside and have gotten very playful.  Drew built them a cat climbing structure that they love.  In a couple more weeks, Muffin will be moving to my mom's to live.  We sure are going to miss her, but at least she will still be in the family and we will be happy to still have Cupcake.

I took Cupcake and Muffin outside for the first time on Saturday.  It wasn't exactly their cup of tea.  They wanted back inside as quick as possible.  Especially, when a loud motorcycle went by.  They came running towards me and right up the front of me giving me all kinds of kitten scratches.
