Tiki Kon 2010- Atomic Tiki

This Friday night, July 30th, kicks off Tiki Kon 2010- Atomic Tiki. If you haven't purchased your tickets, be warned, they are going quick! Sunday's brunch and home bar tour is already sold out! But don't despair, you can still purchase tickets for Friday and Saturday.

Friday night's event gets Tiki Kon off to a bang at the Tonic Lounge at 8pm. Lushy, Seattle's premier lounge exotic space age pop band, is making a rare Portland appearance. As well as, a first time appearance by The Apollo Four giving us a mix up of spaced out go-go surf sounds! Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door.

The party starts early at 4pm at Thatch Tiki Bar on Saturday July 31st for cocktails and pupus. After getting a fill of authentically made Mai Tais, Blast Offs, Blue Hawaiians and so much more, the party moves to Tony Starlight's Supper Club and Lounge for a night of exotica music by Sneaky Tiki and the Lava Lounge Orchestra. Along with fabulous entertainment provided by Tony Starlight, himself and great vendors before the entertainment. Special cocktails created by the masterminds of Tiki Kon will be available all night at Tony's! Saturday night is not to be missed and with a ticket price of only $15, there really isn't any reason it should be. Just make sure to make your table reservation for Tony's now!

The NW Tiki Original Home Tiki Bar Tour makes a return for another fun-filled Sunday. Starting with brunch at The Alibi, one of Portland's oldest and greatest tiki bars, everyone will get a chance to chow down to lay a much needed foundation before getting on the bus to be whisked off on a tour of just a few of Portland's best home tiki bars! Delicious tiki drinks and punches will be provided by the hosts of each home tike bar. But, that's not all! Sunday's ticket also includes a special sneak preview of the upcoming Atomic Tiki art show at Elroy Artspace. All of this for only $25! No wonder it's already sold out!
